Flor de Caña is an iconic brand that is a part of the Nicaraguan culture. Spring Design Partners was asked to help transition this regional rum brand to the global stage through a re-imagined packaging design.
How do you tell a rich and authentic local story, within a global context?
After immersing in the culture of Nicaragua, it was clear that Flor de Caña was a rum like no other. The volcano, a point of inspiration for both the product and the design, became a subtle beacon indicating the unique story of Flor de Caña.
Our structural and graphic design sought to position Flor de Caña above traditional Caribbean rums. The final design, expressed across a range of ages, maintains the iconic nature of the brand in its homeland, but introduces a new and unique story of rum to the rest of the world.
